Germiston CPF Sector 4 has recently seen a surge in gate motor theft, with an incident on 6 May 2023.  The incident was reported by SWS Security, a local security company, which stated that a gate motor was stolen from a property previously protected by them, but the client had canceled their services.

This rise in gate motor theft serves as a warning to all community members to be vigilant and take necessary precautions to safeguard their property. Gate motors are an easy target for thieves and can be stolen within minutes if not properly secured.

The Germiston CPF urges community members to take preventative measures such as securing their gate motor with a padlock or installing an alarm system. Additionally, it is important to be part of the CPF and have an active response company guarding your premises.

By being an active member of the community and reporting any suspicious activity to the police or CPF, we can work together to prevent crime and keep our community safe.

Don’t be a victim of gate motor theft, take action now and protect your property. Stay vigilant, stay safe.
